It is incredibly nice to finally have my family in Atlanta with me. I have missed them so, so much. We thought seriously about waiting until after the new year to make the move, but neither of us really wanted to wait that long. Not to mention, the girls didn't really understand the concept of long distance fathering.
The new house is large nice. It's a lot nicer now that it's filled with the pitter patter of little feet, though. Gracie and Shelby were keeping me company, but a house isn't truly a home until your family is in it.
I'm trying to convince myself that it's too early to get a Christmas tree. I really, really want to, though. There's a tree farm not too far from here that will let you choose and cut your own tree. I kind of want to do that because it reminds me of home. I'm also thinking that maybe my family can come up here for the holidays. I know it's a long trip, but we have a lot more space than my parents. I'll have to call Mama and see what she thinks of the idea.
Anyway. Off to work. As I tell Bethany and Maggie, Daddy has to go make that candy money.

I've been promoted.
I will be spending the next four weeks in Atlanta. After that, I should be relocating permanently.

I am incredibly grateful that Bethany has finally found something of a schedule. It doesn't quite match the schedule I keep, but it's close enough that I'm getting several hours of uninterrupted sleep.
I have to admit, part of that was my fault. After she was born, I spent so much time holding her that she felt like she had to be held in order to sleep. Luckily, we've broken her of that habit. It's nice to be able to roll over and not worry about crushing a baby.
Speaking of sleep, I should probably take advantage of my Saturday and do a little more of it.

While Aly and I thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon, we're so glad to be home. Nothing can compare to the comfort you find in your own bed. Not that this is my bed. Well, it is now. It's confusing. I'm still adjusting. Not to mention, it's nice being woken up by Little Miss Maggie.
I will begin my job hunt on Monday morning. Please pray that I quickly find gainful employment. After all, I have a family to support.

I feel horrible.
Wednesday night, Shelby and I went out to celebrate. We'd just completed our final exam, and we decided to have a few drinks. I usually avoid alcohol, but It seemed like a good idea. We're graduating from college, after all. I'm moving to New York. She's moving to Atlanta. We're moving into the real world.
I think I had too much to drink. I almost kissed Shelby.
I feel like an ass. I'm engaged. I love Aly. We're getting married.
Am I always going to be in love with her?

Graduation is today. Mama and Dad are here in California. It's going to be a busy day. I'm looking forward to it, though.

Aly and I will be getting married this July.
We haven't worked out all of the details, but we know we're going to be having the wedding in Georgia. Blackshear might be small, but it's also gorgeous. You just have to know where to look.
This is what we know so far…
We'll be getting married on July 3 at sunset. According to this site, sunset will be at 8:37PM.
It will be an outdoor wedding. We haven't decided on a location, yet, but I graduate on June 11. I can show her around once I'm finished with school. I know that's cutting it a little close, but Blackshear is a small town. I'm sure we can find somewhere to get married.

I must warn you, she tends to put one picture in an email. I don't think she knows that you can put more than one. That means you'll probably get a lot of emails. Sorry.

Mom and Dad took the news surprisingly well.
They want to know when I'm going to marry her. I told them that I would be marrying her as soon as possible. She hasn't agreed to marry me, yet. I'm hoping to change her mind, though. I don't know what I'm going to tell my parents if she refuses to marry me.
I'll worry about that later, though.
It goes without saying, of course, but I'll be moving to New York as soon as I graduate. It'll be nice to be close to Ed, but I'm going to miss my family.

I've finally made it to New York. It's insanely cold, but I hear there might be snow on Monday. I can't deny looking forward to that. It's been a while since I've seen snow. Of course, there's supposed to be rain with the snow. That makes it nearly impossible to play in the snow. I hope they're wrong. Maggie and I could have a lot of fun in that snow.
